This Privacy Policy explains how Business Klarity Ltd (“Business Klarity”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit our website, book a Discovery Call, contact us, or otherwise interact with our business. It also explains your rights under UK data protection law.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data openly and lawfully, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
Business Klarity Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data.
- Company: Business Klarity Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 17110630
- Location: Cheshire, United Kingdom
- Email: hello@businessklarity.co.uk
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us using the details above.
2. The personal data we collect
We only collect the personal data we need. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact details — your name, email address, telephone number, business name, and any details you choose to share with us when you book a Discovery Call, sign up to our newsletter, or get in touch.
- Booking and enquiry information — the information you provide when you book a call or send us a message, including what you tell us about your business.
- Communication records — the content of emails, messages and calls between us, and related information such as dates and times.
- Technical and usage data — collected automatically when you use our website, including your IP address, approximate location, browser type, device information, the pages you visit, and how you navigate the site. This is gathered through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
We do not take payments on this website. If you go on to purchase a service, any payment is handled separately through our booking and client-management platform (see Section 6), and we do not store your full card details.
3. How we collect your data
We collect personal data:
- Directly from you — when you book a Discovery Call, complete a form, subscribe to our newsletter, email us, or speak to us.
- Automatically — through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website (only where you have given consent for non-essential cookies).
- From third parties — for example, if you interact with us via social media, or leave a review on our Google Business Profile.
4. Why we use your data, and our lawful bases
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following:
- To respond to enquiries and bookings, and provide our services — lawful basis: performance of a contract, or taking steps at your request before entering a contract; and our legitimate interests in running our business.
- To send you marketing and our newsletter — lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time (see Sections 5 and 8).
- To understand and improve how our website is used — lawful basis: your consent (for analytics/advertising cookies) and our legitimate interests in maintaining and improving our website and services.
- To keep records, manage our relationship with you, and run our business — lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
- To keep our website and business secure and prevent fraud — lawful basis: our legitimate interests.
- To comply with legal obligations — lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have balanced those interests against your rights and freedoms.
5. Marketing and our newsletter
If you sign up to our newsletter or otherwise consent to marketing, we will send you occasional emails about our articles, services and updates. We use a third-party platform to manage this (see Section 6).
You can opt out at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any marketing email, or by emailing hello@businessklarity.co.uk. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
6. Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers (“processors”) who help us run our business, and only as far as necessary. These include:
- GoHighLevel — our booking, customer-relationship-management (CRM) and email/SMS platform. When you book a Discovery Call, join our newsletter, or submit an enquiry, that information is processed through GoHighLevel.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram) — we use the Meta Pixel for advertising and measurement. This only operates if you accept advertising cookies.
- Google — for our embedded map, web fonts, and the display of our Google reviews (via Trustindex). Where we use website analytics, these are also provided by Google.
- Trustindex — to display our verified Google reviews on the website.
- CookieYes — to manage your cookie preferences and record your consent.
- Cloudflare — for website security and performance (content delivery and protection against malicious traffic).
- Hostinger — our website hosting provider, on whose servers the website and its data are stored.
- Professional advisers — such as accountants, insurers or legal advisers, where reasonably necessary.
We may also disclose your data where required to comply with a legal obligation, to protect our rights, or to protect the vital interests of any person.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. A cookie is a small file stored on your device that helps the website function and helps us understand how it is used.
We use the following categories of cookies:
- Strictly necessary — required for the website to work. These do not need your consent.
- Functional — remember your preferences and improve your experience.
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Advertising — used by the Meta Pixel to measure and target advertising.
When you first visit our website, our cookie banner (provided by CookieYes) asks for your consent. Non-essential cookies — including analytics and advertising cookies such as the Meta Pixel — are only set after you give consent. You can change or withdraw your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link on our website.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers (including GoHighLevel, Meta, Google and Cloudflare) are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where your personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure it is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law — such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA), the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or transfers to countries (or organisations) covered by UK “adequacy” regulations (for example, providers certified under the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). You can request more information about these safeguards using the contact details in Section 12.
